- Make sure to find the total booking amount first. Sometimes the Pulse app shows incorrect amount. Quickly glace the number of rooms, number of nights and the room type to verify that what you think is the total amount is actually the total amount.
- Add 2.5% bank charge to the total amount. You can also use google for this. If the total amount is 180.95, simply search 180.95 + 2.5%. The toal will be 185.37.
- Now search 185.37 USD to NPR. Charge the same amount using POS machine. No round up necessary.
- If successful:
- Send merchant slip to Whatsapp Journal group.
- Send guest booking details from the booking.com web app to the Whatsapp group. This detail should include Guest Name, Booking ID, Check In and Out date, Total Amount, etc. Also include the first 4 digits of guest's credit card number here
- In the booking.com web app, set payment status to "Guest has paid in full" and in the internal notes type "CARD CHARGED".
- If not successful:
- Mark card as declined by performing necessary actions in the booking web app.
- If the card has been declined second time or so, offer the guest alternative ways to pay.
- We can ask for guest's email and send them the payment link via Tab by creating filling out a form in tab that says "Send Payment Link".
- For example if the booking is from India, or Nepal, we can also send QR to guest's WhatsApp.
